Need your help

Hey blog readers (if any of you exist),

A friend and I are undertaking a project and need your input. What in your opinion is the top 5 most meorable love confession/declaration scenes in Hollywood history??

Thanks a mill in advance.

Update: This is probably my fault, I wasn’t clear enough, I was hoping for a specific scene, i.e. a still frame, a one-liner… or something of the sort.

  1. in no specific order (too hard to decide):

    – there’s this scene in Good Will Hunting, i don’t know if it qualifies or not…but it’s the scene where Robin Williams’ character tells the story of how he missed the best baseball game in history to meet his future wife.

    – Jerry Maguire “you had me at hello”…definitely one of the most memorable scenes.

    – When Harry Met Sally – the scene with the long speech about how he loves every little detail of her.

i can’t remember which scene exactly, but i’m sure there’s a scene in Sleepless in Seatle that fits ur request (don’t remember the movie that much), also A Walk to Remember and She’s All That.

  2. This one from The Runaway Bride is my favourite:
“Look, I guarantee that we’ll have tough times. And I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us will want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don’t ask you to be mine I’ll regret it for the rest of my life. Because I know in my heart, you’re the only one for me”.

  3. I back Belya in Notting Hill, I love this line.

Bridges of Madison County: when he tells her “I don’t want to need you, ’cause I can’t have you”

As good as it gets: when he tells her that when he think of her, he decides to take his pills so he’d be a better man (or something like that)

In you’ve got mail: I love the scene before they meet each other at the end of the movie. When he says if I weren’t Fox Bookstores, and you weren’t the shop around the corner, most probably I would invite you for coffee, and on saturdays we would (walla we wouldn’t?) have a fight over which movie to rent….

Ten Things I hate about you: the poem at the end…
(….. I hate it when you make me laugh,
even worse when you make me cry.
I hate it when you’re not around,
and the fact that you didn’t call.
But mostly I hate the way I don’t hate you,
    not even close
    not even a little bit
    not even at all.)

  4. The scene where this guy “can’t remember his name..because well,i am a guy” confesses his love to Kiera Knightly in Love Actually.

Talk about taking a heartbreak like a man

  5. yes i loved this one..but the one that really got to me is the one where she showed up at his place asking if he still kept her wedding tape.

maybe it’s because i had my heart torn out and fed to me exactly the same way.

    LOL..too much info

  6. I’m not big on romantic movies but off the top of my head :

-The final scene in ” an officer and a gentleman”
-The scene in “Amelie” when she and her dude , Nino first kiss without saying anything at all.
-“Sense and sensibility” when Edward confesses to Elinor that he loves herat the end
-“Bram Stocker’s Dracula” (YES, it was a very romantic movie dammit) when he says to Mina, “I’ve crossed oceans of time to find you.”
